Want to be a pilot?
Becoming a pilot is a challenging but also very rewarding process. Just for training it can be quite expensive if you don't have any prior experience, probably around $10,000 or just a little under that. You will need at a minimum 40 hours of flight time and half of that must be dual (you fly with a licensed instructor). But the 40 hour figure is only a minimum and you will definately need more than that. Most people figure around 65 hours of flight time realistically to get your Private Pilot license. There is also a lot to learn, you will need to do quite a bit of book reading but there is no shortcut to gaining experience other than booking rental time for flying.
